Micaela & Rodrigo | Gaia Arts Center | Berkeley, CA | East Bay Wedding

A photo first this time – ’cause this is how much fun these guys were!   Micaela dances Brazilian samba and Rodrigo is a singer & musician for a Brazilian band.  They met at a rehearsal for the Brazilian Independence Day celebration in Golden Gate Park back in 2002, and ended up here!  Micaela, by the way, is not just any old Samba dancer – this woman was elected SF Carnaval Queen in 2004 – watch out, she can *move*!  I’m including more shots than usual from their rip-roaring reception, ’cause being a lifelong dancer (and expounder of fun) myself, this kind of celebration was close to my heart!

I LOVE sneaking out the bride & groom for a nighttime portrait session – if we keep it quick, no guests will notice them gone!
