Here is my latest attempt to streamline blog postings a little bit… a few less photos, but getting more weddings up there! Besides the beautiful couple and venue, what made Julie & Mitch’s wedding so wonderful were all the great personal aspects to this event. Among my favorites were all the opportunities that Mitch and Julie took to include and honor Mitch’s daughter Kayla (she’s the one clicking the point & shoot). Kayla definitely made my night, ‘cause I think she takes the prize for flower girl best able to rip up the dance floor ever! She made us all adults look lethargic at her side. The ceremony was a perfect blend of the couple’s emotions and the officiant’s hilarious sense of humor… Enjoy!

I absolutely adored this wedding – what a blast of a day! The Officer’s Club at Fort Mason only recently opened its doors to weddings, and what a fabulous spot it is. With great views of the bay, grounds to wander through for photos and close proximity to Crissy Field and the Golden Gate Bridge, it’s hard to go wrong. Of course it helps that I couldn’t ask for a more cooperative, willing & fun couple to photograph than Ryan & Helena. I could have extended their portrait time for days! It was particularly inspiring too to see their dedication to sustainability and the environment (which they live out so beautifully in their work and real life) manifest in their wedding, from the amazing organic food to the succulent-theme flower arrangements and details brought to life by the uniquely talented Svenja from Chestnut & Vine. On top of it, I always breathe easy when I know I’m in Coastside Couture’s planning hands for the day…
