I’m excited to finally share some photos from Kate & Geoff’s gorgeous Sonoma wedding day! Truth be told I’ve been excited about this wedding the whole way along… from the very first phone call I got from Kate’s mom, where I quickly got the sense that I was going to be witnessing the coming together of two very special and loving families, to finding out I was going to get to work with the wonderful planners at A Savvy Event, to shooting the whole beautiful day at Gundlach-Bundschu Winery, to looking through so many great photos (If I do say so myself
) that I couldn’t choose how to edit! This was a partial destination wedding for Kate & Geoff, who used to live in California. The couple and their families treated their 200+ guests to a delightful day, complete with ceremony seating overlooking Gundlach-Bundschu’s valley of vineyards in perfect weather, amazing food & wine, an organic gelato dessert bar brought in on a bicycle (!!), and a glow-stick dance floor extravaganza. Congratulations to the two of you, and may your now-combined families continue to grow and prosper!

Emily and Corey’s wedding concept was simple, elegant, and quintessential for the Wine Country – gather a small, hand-chosen group of family and friends to witness their union, share their love, and celebrate with a bunch of really fantastic food and wine
. Fitting, since they met working in the food industry and even Emily’s new job designing wine labels in Napa continues the theme. In their own words, here’s what Emily had to say about why she married Corey: ”He is the opposite of me in every way, shape or form. He totally complements me and helps me be a better person, in a really weird way – he helps me be more selfish, something I’d never done before. He’s actually the first person who told me to treat myself, and take care of myself, and stop worrying about everybody else.” Corey, about why he married Emily: ”She’s amazing. That encompasses everything. Amazing and beautiful – I love her!” Then I asked them both what their favorite part of the day was. Emily: ”I think my favorite part was romping through the vineyards and realizing what a terrible idea it was -we had bugs, and grass, and all kinds of weird things going up my dress!” Corey: ”It was the fact that you made me feel that everything was really natural. I hate taking pictures, but I had a good time doing it. Everything I thought was going to be terrible was actually a lot of fun! Emily really wanted great pictures, and at the end of the day she was very happy with what happened because you made us feel so comfortable.” And I swear, I did not pay him to say it!
