Jazmin & John | St. Ignatius Church Wedding | San Francisco City Club Reception| San Francisco, CA Wedding
It is a truly special treat when I show up to a wedding day and I already know so many of the people involved! The overlaps on this day were amazing… see if you can follow this: Jazmin’s sister is Yatzin. I was lucky enough to have photographed Yatzin’s wedding to David last year, and by incredible coincidence, Jazmin was already engaged to John, who just happened to be David’s best friend from childhood! So besides a lot of familiar family members, I also got to work with the same florist (Lidia Sadoun of La Fleuriste) and makeup artist (Nikol Elaine), so I knew everyone and everything was going to look gorgeous! After getting ready, our day started with a family & bridal party cable car ride/ photo session to Golden Gate Park.
For any brides thinking they would like to be able to run around San Francisco for a photo session without worrying about foot exhaustion in high heels, fancy ballet slippers ARE an option! John & Jazmin have such a deep appreciation of architectural asthetics that I swear even my nature shots of them turned out extra-linear! The full Catholic mass at the gorgeous St. Ignatius Church in San Francisco was next. The first little photo stop we took immediately after the ceremony was inside the church itself – the bluish-purplish sanctuary. It’s one of many beautiful side sanctuaries in the church, but this particular one of the Virgen de Guadalupe is where John originally proposed to Jazmin… Afterwards we had another fun photo session at the Yerba Buena Center carousel and the streets of San Francisco (where no one even got run over!!) and we ended up at the reception at San Francisco City Club. Enjoy!
